Shadow of Light - Short Film

Devin Durocher working on the set of Aloof (Dir. Tomaki Boaz)

Working as a freelance filmmaker and prop master has given me front and center viewing to some of the most talented folks in the Detroit area. I firmly believe that you can plan for months on end, painstakingly write a script, conceptualize the entire movie in your head, and after a while - you'll know exactly what you want in your film.

However, you won't know a lot of the things that you need. And to find those extra bits of magic, the wonderful casts and crews that surround us are always there to offer their wisdom. Film is not like drawing, you can't sit alone in my room for 8 hours a day, 5 days a week and pump out stories. So, before viewing my work, I'd like to give an open 'thank you' to all the beautiful people I've had the opportunity to make these films with.
